CREATING The Oh Hey Fatima Show Season 2

The Oh Hey Fatima Show season two was a joy to create. It pushed me and challenged me in ways I haven’t pushed and challenged myself before. I went out of my comfort zone and asked for help. I’ve been a one woman show for a long time and sometimes it can be difficult to ask for help, but with the vision I had for season two, it would require collaboration. I worked with the talented Prince Love to help me film the show and he did such a wonderful job. It taught me that two heads are indeed better than one! In fact, a team is important in bringing dreams and ideas to life, especially if it’s something that requires a lot of moving parts. While I’m great at a lot of things, I’d rather bring in other talented and creative minds to help bring my ideas to fruition, while I focus on what I’m best at: writing, directing, and editing (and sometimes being talent!).

I also had two special guest appearances this season, specifically in the finale. I asked one of my cousin’s college friends, Taylor and Lexi, if they could star in my show. I’ve never met a pair of best friends so fun and lively. In my mind, they would be the perfect fit for the episode and I was so grateful when they said yes! I took a quick evening flight to Pittsburgh, we shot the episode in the bathroom of a local bar, and I flew back home early the next day. The ladies did a great job and it was such a surreal experience. I couldn’t believe I flew out of state for less than 24 hours to film a three minute episode for the love of vision and creativity. As crazy as it may sound, it was so worth it.

I made the commitment to be consistent with my YouTube channel in 2024 and looking back at this moment, I’m even more determined than ever. The best investment anyone can make is investing in themselves. Investing in not only your dreams, but your mind, body, and soul can impact your life in the best ways. You gain growth, clarity, discipline, and reward. I’m so proud of myself and the strides I’ve made thus far, and to think that this is only the beginning! I know that I have a happy and successful future ahead of me.
